Working together

One event. One story. Or the whole year.

01

An event

One day to one week

Photography, film, or both. From conferences and celebrations to community initiatives and major live experiences, I help organizations capture moments that matter and create content they can actually use.

02

A story

Go deeper

Sometimes the story goes beyond an event. I work with organizations to explore the people, experiences, and purpose behind what they do, developing films that communicate something meaningful.

03

An ongoing partnership

Built over time

Some relationships grow across multiple events and projects. We build on what we’ve learned together, adapting each production to the organization’s evolving needs and goals.

Whatever the scale, the way I work stays the same.

How I work

Every project is different, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Some start with a clear vision. Others start with a conversation and an idea worth exploring. My approach adapts to what you need, but the care, preparation, and collaboration remain the same.

  1. 01 · A first conversation

    First, I listen.

Before I start thinking about cameras, I want to understand your organization, what you’re working toward, and what success looks like to you.

    What that looks like
    • Understanding your goals, your audience, and your vision — not just what you want filmed, but why you’re creating it.
    • Defining what success looks like, whether that’s attracting customers, building awareness, engaging donors, reaching potential sponsors, or something else entirely.
    • Reviewing your existing website, brand messaging, and content.
    • Understanding where the finished work will live and how it should support your organization.
  2. 02 · Finding the story

    Then, we find the story.

Sometimes you already know exactly what you want to communicate. Other times, we discover something more interesting through our conversations.

At the 2026 Chevron Championship, I saw a deeper story than the recap, pitched it, and was given the freedom to tell it.

    • Identifying the people, experiences, and moments that can bring your message to life.
    • Developing story concepts, interview questions, outlines, and scripts when needed.
    • Ensuring the narrative complements your website and brand messaging.
    • Bringing ideas to the table, challenging assumptions, and refining the direction together.
  3. 03 · Building the right production

    We build the right plan.

I believe great production should feel organized without becoming complicated. My job is to think through the details so we’re prepared to make the most of our time together. I work from established pre-production workflows, and I take preparation seriously.

From the story arc to interviews, shot lists, and a four-day production schedule, here’s a real look at how I plan a documentary before cameras roll.

    • Developing creative briefs, scripts, interview plans, shot lists, and production schedules.
    • Coordinating crews, locations, stakeholders, and logistics.
    • Planning content for the audiences it needs to reach, across your website, social channels, presentations, and campaigns.
    • Deciding on formats, social cutdowns, and messaging before we film, so every piece is built to help you reach your goals.
  4. 04 · On the ground

Then we bring it to life.

This is the part I absolutely love. Being in the room, connecting with people, watching moments unfold, and knowing when to follow the plan and when to pursue something unexpected.

Not every story happens at an event. Fire, Goats & Hope followed Happy Goat Farm’s grazing crews and the community they protect.

    • Personally leading creative direction and production.
    • Helping interview subjects feel comfortable and confident.
    • Capturing planned moments while recognizing spontaneous opportunities.
    • Adapting when circumstances change without losing sight of the story.
  5. 05 · Shaping the final work

We shape it. Then we put it to work.

Production is only part of the process. I stay involved as we shape the final work, making sure the story feels right and serves the goals we established from the beginning. And when it’s ready, I want you to have more than beautiful content. I want you to know how to use it.

    What that looks like
    • Guiding the editing, story structure, pacing, music, and creative refinement.
    • Collaborating through reviews and feedback to make sure the finished work supports your message.
    • Delivering beautifully presented, organized films and photography in the formats you need.
    • Helping you put the content to work across your website, social channels, events, and other communications.

An ongoing partnership · Data Science Alliance

Different events. Different needs. One ongoing relationship.

I work with Data Science Alliance across many of their events. Some need photography, some need film, and some need both. We shape each one around what they’re trying to accomplish. Over time, I’ve come to know their people, their mission and their audience, and that deeper understanding helps me serve them better every time.

Some of the best relationships start with one event.
